Thinkin’ Things promotes learning in each student’s areas of strength while encouraging growth and building skills in other areas as well. Thinkin’ Things also focuses attention on how students learn. In areas that may not come as naturally to some children, Thinkin’ Things offers warm, friendly experiences in which self-confidence is built, exploration and creativity are fostered, and persistence is rewarded with success. A student’s musical and rhythmic intelligence may shine when working with Toony the Loon and his xylophones, or visual and spatial intelligence in creating with BLOX, or logical and mathematical intelligence with the Fripple Guides and Feathered Friends. It's Versatile, can be used with a shield, it qualifies for a ton of feats (Polearm Master, Sentinel, Shield Master, even Dual Wielder) the only real downside is it's not Heavy and so doesn't qualify for GWM. There's some solid magical staffs (even martial ones), and the Shillelagh buff stacks with those (and in the meantime makes it comparable to your more traditional options like longsword). The quarterstaff is a surprisingly useful weapon. For Athletics, proficiency will still make up for a good chunk of lost stat increase. You'll want enough to not fall over in heavy armor (but see Dex above), and it's used for some melee-centric saves monsters throw out - but they're usually not the lethal type and if you can avoid it to stack your attack and damage somewhere more useful, it's a solid idea! Other saves can be far more important (see bit about Con and Dex above), and you've got your aura helping on Str saves anyway. It allows you to max it out quickly and then expand into feats or shore up weaknesses in other stats (like Con, or if you want more Initiative and to avoid heavy armor, Dex).īesides being the de facto tank melee damage stat, Strength isn't that great. Getting to frontload everything important to you (spells, aura, attack, damage) on one stat (Charisma) is incredible. I mean, it's unique, but it's not really unique enough to warrant the uselessness of such a thing. Plus, being limited to a quarterstaff or club (If I recall correctly) is kinda pointless, since you can just pick up a longsword. Charisma seems reasonable, but I can't see why any paladin wouldn't bump their Strength (Or Dex if you do that) up to be on par with CHA or better. So I would wager that Magic Initiate is just a bad idea. Obviously, doing the former only makes Shillelagh use your Wisdom, and the latter using Charisma. ![]() I've seen a few posts here and on a few other sites that mention giving a paladin Shillelagh-sometimes through Magic Initiate, sometimes by multiclassing warlock and going Pact of the Tome. Answer this question: why do you want to be more productive at work? Find out what motivates your actions and you’ll gain the will to focus, even in the noisiest environments. To avoid this, it’s important to first be aware of your goal. Not knowing what’s really important to you and why you’re working towards it is like planning for a failure. They react to external factors and their behavior and emotions change depending on their environment. Many people are not proactive in life, but rather reactive. Here’s how you can adapt each habit from Stephen Covey’s book to improve your day to day activity and reach that productivity boost you badly want. The first approach is effective if you are looking for a shortcut to success, but real personal growth can only be reached by changing something fundamental, such as a habit. Generally speaking, there are two ways one can progress in life: by improving a skill, like time management, or by working on one’s own character. Image Credit: Nick Karvounis | his best-seller, Stephen Covey addresses a very important problem: what has to change in order to reshape a behavior? ![]() ![]() Compared with Night B, this results in a paradoxical autonomic response, where a greater vagal activity (Ln rMSSD) is super-imposed to a greater sympathetic background (greater HR and LF/HF ratio). The greater sleep fragmentation during night A is associated with more HR arousals, which directly increases (1) the number of rapid (beat-by-beat) changes in HR and (2) more importantly, the power spectral density in the low frequencies (LF), which, in turn, increases dramatically the LF/HF ratio. Note that while both sleep efficiency (SE) and total slow wave sleep (SWS) time are similar over the two complete nights (which is consistent with the subjective rating of the night), the actual sleep stage distribution and fragmentation between the first 4 h of the 2 nights differ markedly. 2826 Kcal, as measured by Tri-axial accelerometers) (Buchheit et al., Brandenberger et al., 2005). However, measures of heart rate cannot inform on all aspects of wellness, fatigue, and performance, so their use in combination with daily training logs, psychometric questionnaires and non-invasive, cost-effective performance tests such as a countermovement jump may offer a complete solution to monitor training status in athletes participating in aerobic-oriented sports.Īssessing changes endurance sports fatigue heart rate recovery heart rate variability progressive statistics team sports training response. The decision to use a given measure should be based upon the level of information that is required by the athlete, the marker's sensitivity to changes in training status and the practical constrains required for the measurements. For appropriate interpretation at the individual level, changes in a given measure should be interpreted by taking into account the error of measurement and the smallest important change of the measure, as well as the training context (training phase, load, and intensity distribution). I also provide evidence that measures derived from 5-min (almost daily) recordings of resting (indices capturing beat-to-beat changes in heart rate, reflecting cardiac parasympathetic activity) and submaximal exercise (30- to 60-s average) heart rate are likely the most useful monitoring tools. In this review I contend that most of the contradictory findings are related to methodological inconsistencies and/or misinterpretation of the data rather than to limitations of heart rate measures to accurately inform on training status. ![]() However, these measures are still not widely implemented to monitor athletes' responses to training load, probably because of apparent contradictory findings in the literature. According to Eusebius, the Christians saw the might of the Roman army and through prophetic warning, fled to Pella.Measures of resting, exercise, and recovery heart rate are receiving increasing interest for monitoring fatigue, fitness and endurance performance responses, which has direct implications for adjusting training load (1) daily during specific training blocks and (2) throughout the competitive season. The legions of Rome brought the captives to Caesarea and after over one million Jews were killed, 95,000 captives were taken as prisoners, and among them was Josephus, the ancient Jewish historian. These served as a memorial of the massive strength of Jerusalem's fortifications which Titus of Rome had brought to rubble. After five months the walls were battered down, the great Temple was burned down, and the city was left ruined and desolate, except for Herod's three great towers at the northwest corner of the city. According to Tacitus they were 600,000 visitors crowding the streets of Jerusalem for the Passover. The Roman army numbered 30,000 while the Jewish army numbered 24,000. The Romans built embankments of earthenwork, they placed battering rams and the siege began. Titus with his Roman legions arrived at the outermost northern Wall of Jerusalem, the Passover of 70 A.D. and they were a direct revolt by the Jews against Rome’s authority. In spite of abnormal meiotic products reducing pollen fertility, seed production was normal. Quadrivalents were observed in diakinesis at low frequency, which suggests a segmental allotetraploid and the inability of both genomes to co-ordinate their activities, leading to multiple spindle and precocious cellularization. The result consisted of a high frequency of abnormal products of meiosis. Some curious planes of cytokinesis were found in some cells, with partitioning of cytoplasm into cells of irregular shape. In several microsporocytes, the micronuclei with their minispindle were divided further into microcytes by additional cytokinesis. While in other polyploid accessions of Brachiaria micronuclei remained in this condition until the second cytokinesis, the micronuclei in this accession organized their own spindle in the second division. Due to its tetraploid condition, the accession presented many cells with precocious chromosome migration to the poles in metaphase I and laggards in anaphase I that gave rise to micronuclei in telophase I. In telophase I, the interzonal microtubules continued to be intensely stained, and during the phragmoplast formation the fibers were pushed to the cell wall, persisting until prophase II, even after cytokinesis. The spindle in metaphase I and anaphase I became heavily stained with propionic carmine.
